„Lullaby“ is a profound exploration of the fragile interplay between imagination and the scars of childhood trauma. Drawing inspiration from the dreams and fears of a child who has endured sexual abuse, this body of work breathes life into oversized dolls, reminiscent of stuffed animals overflowing with both fantasy and memory. These monumental figures serve as powerful embodiments of the internal conflict between vulnerability and the instinctual yearning for protection. Through their colours, textures, and forms, the pieces evoke a dual sense of tenderness and unease, mirroring how the imagination can simultaneously function as a refuge and a reflection of difficult experiences. „Lullaby“ invites viewers to contemplate the resilience of childhood and the transformative power of art, which channels pain into an evocative visual language.
