Soft sculpture nylon stockings and wadding
Site specific intervention

Sendling-Westpark, München

In this artistic intervention, I explore the theme of fertility through sculptures crafted from stuffed nylon stockings, designed to evoke the forms of human breasts and fetuses. Suspended from trees in public spaces, these pieces symbolize the profound connection between human fertility and the natural world.

The use of nylon stockings lends the sculptures an ethereal and delicate quality, while their shapes and textures evoke the visceral realities of motherhood and pregnancy. By situating them within the organic framework of trees, the installation creates a dialogue between the artificial and the natural, intertwining the concepts of human and ecological fertility.

This intervention invites passersby to reflect on the creation of life, emphasizing the interdependence between humanity and nature. It transforms the everyday environment into an unexpected aesthetic experience, prompting viewers to reconsider their relationship with the cycles of life and the natural world.
